Hospice Women of Giving

Why become a member of Hospice Women of Giving?

The Hospice Women of Giving is a group of women who participate in building and strengthening hospice-related programs through joint contributions for Good Shepherd Hospice. The group also provides women with opportunities for education in an effort to foster and develop women’s capacities for philanthropic leadership.

The annual contributions of the Hospice Women of Giving members are pooled and used to support unfunded programs and services of Good Shepherd Hospice, as voted on by the membership. Since 2014, the group has provided over $97,000 in funding to support Camp Brave Heart, chaplain services with technological resources, linen kits for at-home patients and amenities for families at Good Shepherd Hospice’s inpatient hospice houses.

Members review requests from staff during the group’s annual meeting held at the beginning of each year. As a member of the group, your voice counts when members collectively vote on which patient care-related projects they would like to fund. Also important is the annual education program held each fall, as well as several social and membership events. Attendance is never required but always encouraged.

If you have questions, would like more information, or would like to join the Hospice Women of Giving, please contact the Chapters Health Foundation at 1.863.563.3641, email us at [email protected], or Contact Us.

Testimonials
—Margy Allen, Hospice Women of Giving Founding Member and Hospice Advocate

"I have been blessed to experience hospice care as a spouse and an advocate. I know of no more deserving cause for my continued financial support. I contribute that other families might have the same experience."
