Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd, to Attend Among Panelists
The Hospice Women of Giving, a philanthropic group supporting the care services of Good Shepherd Hospice, today announced plans to host the Tenth Annual Seasons of Service Luncheon. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at the Bonnet Springs Park Event Center in Lakeland. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. with program start at 12 p.m. All proceeds benefit Good Shepherd Hospice programming for patients and families, including grief support services at The Bethany Center for Grieving Children and the annual children’s grief camp, Camp Brave Heart, scheduled March 28-30.
Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd, is attending the event as a panelist alongside Public Defender, Blair Allen, Southeastern University Professor, Ken Stephens, and moderator Stephanie Colon. The panelists will share personal insights relevant to the hospice mission, including the differences between winning and succeeding, what it means to do the right thing, and what it means to truly sacrifice for others.
“We’re thrilled to have Sheriff Grady Judd, Public Defender, Blair Allen, and Professor Ken Stephens with us to share their insights,” said Kristy McKibben, event chair, Hospice Women of Giving. “All our panelists know what it means to truly serve our community. While the mission at Good Shepherd Hospice is different, their team shares that same sense of devotion and service for the community. Our members and guests look forward to honoring that service and hearing the amazing stories that come with it.”
In combination with the annual Seasons of Service event and yearly membership contributions, the Hospice Women of Giving have generated over $400,000 in support of the Good Shepherd Hospice patients and families.
