Chapters Health Foundation to Host Fifth Annual Home Runs for Hospice Fundraiser

Benefits Patients, Families and Bereavement Services of LifePath Hospice

The Chapters Health Foundation announced plans to host the Fifth Annual Home Runs for Hospice Fundraiser on Wednesday, September 29, 2021, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. at Armature Works located at 1910 N Ola Avenue in Tampa. The event will also be live streamed via Zoom.

Last year, Home Runs for Hospice raised more than $430,000, accomplishing approximately 25 percent of LifePath Hospice’s annual fundraising goal. Three hundred and eighteen people tuned in for the virtual event. This year’s event supports LifePath Hospice’s Charity Care program, which provides care to patients regardless of their ability to pay, and bereavement services for families suffering from loss.

“The impact of our Home Runs for Hospice event is inspiring,” said Adam Stanfield, vice president of development and executive director of the Chapters Health Foundation. “The event’s success is found in the compelling programming featuring individuals touched through amazing care provided to their loved ones.  Such satisfaction and appreciation are evident through words, testimonials, and unspoken gestures.  It is moving beyond compare.”

Home Runs for Hospice serves as an opportunity for the community to come together and learn about the compassionate care of our frontline team members and those who have been touched by the mission of hospice. Testimonial speakers share their stories to inform and inspire the community.

“Home Runs for Hospice helps ensure no one grieves alone,” said Liz Anderson, director of philanthropy for the Chapters Health Foundation in support of LifePath Hospice. “LifePath Hospice provides 3,107 individuals with a safe space to be open and real, allowing hearts to heal always free of charge.  We simply cannot do his life-changing, hope-giving work without the support of our donors.”

Former WFLA news anchor and journalist, Gayle Sierens Martin, will emcee. The event has been sponsored by generous community supporters such as Regions Bank, PAR Inc., and many others.

Registration is required. RSVP by Wednesday, September 22. To register or for more information, contact Stevie Shumate at 813-357-5361, or email [email protected].
