When you have so much to share, there’s so much you can do to help another — from something as simple as whispering a kind word to lending a helping hand to a family. There are many hospice volunteer opportunities with Chapters Health System that provide support in a variety of areas.
- Patient and Family Support
- Veterans Program
- Specialty Professional Services (Massage, Pet Therapy, Music, Hair Care)
- Office Assistance
- Bereavement Support
- Children’s Programs
- Life’s Treasures Thrift Stores
- Special Events
- Ambassador Program
Volunteers working directly with hospice patients are required to attend a thorough training. Office and community volunteers are oriented to the organization in a more condensed training session. All training sessions are provided free of charge, during daytime and evening hours.
Chapters Health has volunteer opportunities to suit people with a variety of interests and talents. Days and times are flexible and every role is valued. If you have one to four hours per week and a true desire to help, we invite you to embark on your own life-changing journey as a Chapters Health volunteer.
Grateful for Our Volunteers
We are deeply grateful to our volunteers, and offer annual appreciation luncheons, service awards, team building opportunities, continuing education and more. Most of all, we listen because we care. You’ll always have the support of your Chapters Health Volunteer Coordinator and be warmly welcomed.
