In response to the suggested “social distancing” recommended by state and federal agencies, HPH Hospice decided to suspend in-person individual counseling sessions and support groups. However, HPH Hospice is still offering phone sessions for anyone who needs bereavement support. Please know during this period of uncertainty, our first priority is the safety and well-being of our patients/families, staff and volunteers.
HPH Hospice provides grief services that go well beyond caring for the patient—we support family members and caretakers, too. Through our compassionate organization, we offer a variety of grief services and support that assure the long-term emotional, mental and physical well being of survivors of all ages by helping them adjust to their loss and express their feelings.
Individual & Family Grief Support: Bereavement specialists offer guidance, attention and support not only for hospice families, but all families within our community, as they work through the grieving and healing process.
Adult Grief Support Groups: Grief support groups offer emotional assistance and education by helping survivors cope with their feelings, new roles in life and plans for the future. Bereavement support groups are scheduled at various locations throughout Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties. Groups are open to all hospice families as well as community members who have experienced the death of a loved one.
Children’s Grief Services: To meet the special needs of children coping with the death of a loved one, we provide age-specific grief services, support and caring in a safe environment.
- Grief support groups for children and their parents or caregivers, located at our Center for Grieving Children.
- Annual camp for children—Camp REACH OUT
