Hospice Women of Giving to Host Inaugural Seeds of Hope in Support of HPH Hospice

Award-winning Country Singer-Songwriter, Granger Smith and Wife Amber Smith Attending

The Hospice Women of Giving, a philanthropic group in support of HPH Hospice, and the Chapters Health Foundation announced it is holding the inaugural Seeds of Hope event on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Silverthorn Country Club, 4550 Golf Club Lane in Spring Hill, Florida.

Proceeds from this event will benefit unfunded HPH Hospice programs including:

  • Camp REACH OUT
  • New Circle of Hope Grief Center
  • Wishes and special needs of patients
  • Legacy mementos
  • Valor Program Honor Flight

The event will feature a fireside chat between Pastor David Hope of Stable Faith Cowboy Church and award-winning country music singer Granger Smith and his wife Amber Smith. The couple will discuss their grief journey after losing their youngest son, River in 2019.

Granger and his wife Amber live on a little farm in central Texas with their three children, London, Lincoln and Maverick. They also share the farm with dogs, cats, chickens, goats and in some seasons, bees. Amber works as an actor part-time, and also designs the women’s clothing line for the family apparel company, Yee Yee Apparel. After the death of their son River, Amber started the River Kelly Fund and has since donated over $400,000 to other non-profits to keep his legacy alive. She also co-authored a children’s book about rivers and heaven called “Where the Dinosaurs Roar.”

Over the course of his career, Granger Smith has amassed a substantial audience now known as “Yee Yee Nation.” Smith gained popularity through hits such as “Backroad Song,” “If the Boot Fits” and “Happens Like That.”  Smith was also awarded a BMI Country Award for writing, producing, publishing and performing “Backroad Song.”

“Granger and Amber are an inspiration,” said Andrea Arflack, director of philanthropy for the Chapters Health Foundation in support of HPH Hospice. “Together they found strength, peace and hope while relying on their strong faith to guide them through it. We are humbled to have them join us for the first Seeds of Hope event. We would also like to thank our sponsors, Vortex Corporation, Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, Air Source Cooling & Heating and Right at Home.”
