Chapters Health Foundation to Host 5th Annual Rock the Dock

Fundraiser Benefits Veterans and First Responders Through Chapters Health Valor Program

The Chapters Health Foundation today announced plans for the 5th Annual Rock the Dock on Saturday, October 15, 2022  from 6  to 10 p.m. at the Tampa River Center in Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park. The event, presented by USI Insurance, includes food, drinks, auctions and live music entertainment. Auction items include a luxurious vacation to the Bahamas.

4th Annual Rock the Dock (2021)

In 2021, the Chapters Health Foundation raised $173,000 at the 4th Annual Rock the Dock, benefitting Chapters Health pediatric programs, including palliative care, hospice care and bereavement services. The fundraising goal for the 5th Annual Rock the Dock is $190,000.

The funds raised at this year’s Rock the Dock will support the Chapters Health Valor Program, which provides specialized end-of-life care and services to Veterans, First Responders and their families.

The services, offered year-round, include:

  • Pinning ceremonies to honor the service and sacrifices made by Veterans and First Responders. The person of honor receives a pin, certificate of appreciation, commemorative coin and commemorative star patch from a retired American Flag.
  • Valor Cafés for peer-to-peer activities in which Veterans and First Responders find comradery to share stores and similar experiences.
  • Honor walks to show respect to the family members and deceased as they leave the hospice house.
  • Free counseling services from licensed grief counselors for the Veteran or First responder and family.
  • Honor flights to the U.S. capitol where Veterans and First responders can tour national landmarks honoring service members.

“Rock the Dock has grown into a premiere event in the Tampa area, synonymous with great music, food and experiences that support worthwhile causes,” said Adam Stanfield, vice president of development and executive director of the Chapters Health Foundation. “This year, we’re thrilled for the opportunity to support our Veterans, First responders and their families and we are grateful to our Stars and Stripes Presenting Sponsor, USI Insurance and our Honor Our Heroes Sponsor, Wellsky for their support. Coming together with them to support our Veterans and First responders is what gives the event purpose. We look forward to a great evening with them.”
