Chapters Health Foundation Announces Plans for Second Annual Seeds of Hope Event

Event Proceeds Support Bereavement Services of HPH Hospice

The Chapters Health Foundation today announced plans to hold the Second Annual Seeds of Hope, presented by Vortex Solutions Corporation, on Friday, May 10, 2024, at 6 p.m. at the Silverthorn Country Club in Spring Hill. The event features movie-theme tablescapes with a dinner, panel discussion, silent auction and presentation of the 2024 Dandelion Award.

Our panelists understand the journey of overcoming challenges and will share stories of inspiration and empowerment. The first panelist is Carol Green, owner of Carol Green, owner of CDC&P, a heavy equipment sales company she started with her late husband, Barry. The second panelist is Dr. Lauren Dedea, co-owner of Dedea MD Family Medicine. Dr. Dedea is also comprehensively trained in palliative and hospice services. The final panelist is Amy Harper, owner of 3rd Acre Farm in Brooksville. 3rd Acre Farm is committed to growing microgreens sustainably, using organic methods, free from any pesticides and herbicides. Harper attended HPH Hospice’s Camp REACHOUT as a child, marking an important milestone in her life.

“HPH Hospice Women of Giving is an amazing group of compassionate and driven women.” said Alex Powell, president of Vortex Solutions Corporation. “They are a passionate and dedicated group of caring individuals who share the love of helping others. Not only do they support projects that help people at the
end of life, but they also fund services that help heal the grieving hearts of children and adults within our community. Vortex is inspired by the wonderful work done by HPH Hospice. It is truly an honor to support the HPH Hospice Women of Giving.”

Proceeds from the event support bereavement services of HPH Hospice, including Camp REACHOUT. All bereavement services at HPH Hospice are provided at no cost to all families in Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties in need of grief support. Families are not required to receive services through the HPH Hospice network of care in order to be eligible.

“Seeds of Hope and the bereavement services it supports are near and dear to the hearts of our Hospice Women of Giving, our families and the HPH Hospice team,” said Andrea Arflack, director of philanthropy for the Chapters Health Foundation in support of HPH Hospice. “Being with like-minded people who can share their own stories of how the hospice philosophy of care touched their lives is very special and it’s just a reminder that there is always hope and healing to be found in even the most difficult times of our lives.”
