The holiday season is a time of tradition, hope and joy. It’s a time to say “thank you” for the gifts of family, friends and loved ones and a time to remember those who are no longer with us. It’s a time when we treasure the moments and memories that bring the most meaning to us.
Hospice has a unique understanding of loss. For the last 25 years, HPH Hospice has maintained a tradition of remembrance and comfort for the holidays. Our annual Tree of Life provides a special way to remember loved ones through the display of memorial ornaments placed on trees at HPH Hospice locations in Citrus, Hernando and Pasco counties. Each ornament is given in memory of one who is no longer wit us or in honor of someone special. These ornaments bring warmth, comfort and a sense of hope to the givers.
In addition to the traditional Tree of Life ornaments, this year we are commemorating the 25-year milestone with special tree-lighting memorial services to honor the loved ones we have lost. Each light on the tree represents a special person and shines brightly as a symbol of love. Words of inspiration will also be shared to encourage feelings of hope.
How Your Donation Helps
The gifts we receive from Tree of Life help ensure patients and families receive the care and comfort they need, whether pain relief medication, a volunteer to hold their hand, inpatient care at one of our hospice houses or bereavement support while the family heals.
As we look toward the holiday season, we recognize that you and others who share in our mission are the greatest gifts of all. If you sponsored and ornament to honor loved ones in the past, we thank you and hope you will continue this holiday tradition. If you are new to our hospice family, please consider this special gift opportunity as you build new traditions. Wishing you peace and joy this holiday season.
