Why become a member of the Gibbons Pathway Society?
The Gibbons Pathway Society is a special group of friends and donors who have remembered Good Shepherd Hospice, HPH Hospice, LifePath Hospice, Hospice of Okeechobee and Chapters Health Hospice in their estate plans through a bequest, life insurance, trust or charitable gift annuity.
The society was named to honor former Congressman, Sam Gibbons, who helped author the federal legislation that established the Medicare Hospice Benefit.

Ways of Giving
Our affiliates provide care based on medical necessity, regardless of ability to pay. Your Gibbons Society gift to Chapters Health Foundation will help ensure the delivery of services to all patients in need and enable the hospices of Chapters Health System to continue expanding programs and services that meet the growing needs of our community.
Bequests
Bequest arrangements in a will or trust allow you to make an outright gift, which will have a lasting impact.
Gift Annuity
A gift annuity provides fixed, guaranteed, partially tax-free lifetime payments to one or two of our hospice affiliates.
Deferred Gift Annuity
Often called a retirement annuity, a deferred gift annuity provides a fixed guaranteed lifetime payment at a future date that you select.
Charitable Remainder Trust
A charitable remainder trust is an individually designed trust agreement providing fixed or variable income for life or a term of years.
Charitable Lead Trust
A lead trust is used by an individual when he/she wishes to support a charity with a current payment for a specified period of time, after which the principal of the agreement is distributed back to the donor or the donor’s family.
Life Estate Reserved
Persons owning a home, farm, ranch, vacation or second home may choose to retain the right to live there for life while giving the remainder to Chapters Health System.
