IMPORTANT UPDATE: Chapters Health System has postponed this event. This decision was made in response to the “social distancing” recommended by state officials. We may reschedule if possible. Our first priority is the safety and well-being of the community. Thank you for your support.

Good Shepherd Hospice offers the annual Camp Brave Heart weekend for children in Polk, Highlands and Hardee counties who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Camp will be held Friday, April 3 to Sunday, April 5, 2020 at the Circle F. Dude Ranch in Lake Wales. Round-trip transportation is provided for all campers from Auburndale and Sebring to the campsite via chartered bus. Camp is situated in a rustic, wooded setting with secure, comfortable cabins. Well-prepared meals are provided and served daily.

Good Shepherd Hospice recognizes the special needs of children grieving the death of a loved one and has created Camp Brave Heart. This weekend camp for children, ages 6 to 16, helps those who have recently lost a loved one share their feelings of loss with others. The experience combines healing with fun, letting children know that life still has a lot to offer.
